FALL by Donna (Ensign) Woods

A chilly, damp Fall day,
The Summer sun has gone away.
Leaves falling to ground below,
Seeing pumpkins, everywhere you go.
Fun and games at a weiner roast,
Trick-or-Treat goblins and ghost.
Nature prepares for Winter rest,
Fall trees brillantly dressed.
Scenic drives to mountain and lake,
Kodak moments and memories to make.
A pile of leaves in the yard,
Grandkids playing and laughing hard.
Football games on Friday night,
Half-time show delight sound and sight.
Hay bales and smiley scarecrows
Fall festivals and big craft shows.
Halloween and Homecoming parade
Summer days quickly fade.
Time again for sweatshirt and jeans
And a simmering pot of ham and beans !
Farmers begin the Fall harvest...
That God has richly blest.
Thank the Lord for wonderous Fall days
...May His paint brush color your ways.
I pray for you, one and all...
As Summer turns into Fall....
